SUNNYHEAT thermostats adjust temperature in steps of 0,1°C and will not overheat the room. The "I.S.T." uses precise, steady "PI regulation" that regulates electrical consumption in 15 defined wattage levels. On the display you can adjust temperature by 0,5°C, but temperature is actually increased or decreased by exactly 0,1°C in order to keep the desired temperature constant and to ensure cost and energy savings. Because electrical output is adapted in relation to the increase or decrease of steps, SUNNYHEAT panels save energy by only using as much energy that is necessary. This constant regulation and monitoring process is how low-cost heating is guaranteed and maintained with SUNNYHEAT.
THERMOSTAT PROGRAMMING
Another way that the IST should be used in order to reduce heating costs is by using separate heating programs. Each SUNNYHEAT thermostat has four heating programs which can be set to four different temperatures. For example, heating programs can be for workdays, weekends, evenings or vacations. The "Workday" setting can have its own temperature and this program will finish shortly before you come home and the "Evening" setting will begin. SUNNYHEAT I.S.T. thermostats also update automatically to Daylight Savings Time.
In the thermostat menu, other parameters can be changed - such as maximum glass temperature, the frost-guard function and error correction settings. By default, these parameters are factory-optimized for standard usage. If changes are nevertheless required for specific applications, these should only be carried with consultation from a SUNNYHEAT technician.
